The Vice President of Technology will assure the successful execution of company mission through effective development, integration and deployment of Information Technology (IT) solutions.  This role will oversee cross-functional teams within multiple subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and joint ventures. This is an opportunity to be part of the senior leadership team, developing strategy, working with one of the industry leaders.   
The Vice President of Technology will lead the application development/delivery team along with supporting technology functions within an energetic and rewarding work environment.  The ideal candidate will combine business acumen, relationship management and skill sets in technology, strategy, and collaboration in order to direct and oversee IT activities.

JOB CONTEXT:
The Distribution Manager generally works from 7:15 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.  However, early morning, evening and weekend work can be required when the sales volume dictates, especially during the spring and fall seasons.  The position reports to the General Manager and works closely with the Sales Manager, and other divisional managers.   
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in an office environment as well as a typical warehouse, shipping dock, greenhouse and outdoor environment, some of which experience temperature extremes.  Includes standing and walking on a variety of surfaces.  Use of office equipment such as fax, copier, telephone, cell phone and personal computer as well as dock equipment such as fork lift, packaging equipment, etc.  Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds maybe required.

Inventory Quality Control Specialist

Liaison with customers and suppliers (where impacting/affected by quality issues) including procedures for disposition of discrepant material and methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes, and controls in co-operation with Supply Chain Management. Become technically proficient with all products manufactured and sold by the company.

Responsible for tracking incoming and completed quality records while updating departmental databases as needed.

Work with Cost Accounting, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Manufacturing Supervision to communicate and expedite component and supply releases, to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, to discuss documentation discrepancies and to coordinate document and inventory with the production schedule.
Receive and maintain components and production supplies when they are delivered. Reconcile components and prepare documents to return components to Suppliers as needed. Maintain copies of RMAs.
Report production into the inventory control ERP system, using a personal computer. Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies.
Run weekly reports on ERP system and complete weekly inventories and reconcile items that are in WIP (Work In Process). Troubleshoot discrepancies.
Willingness to learn SATRA testing standards and implement a testing process for incoming material.
Must understand how to maintain and schedule calibration for test equipment. 
Must understand principles of supply chain management including issuing of purchase orders for specific commodities.
Works in other functions within the department as needed.

IT Manager, Order Management Systems

managing test environments/systems, and working closely with the embedded firmware/hardware teams
in problem analysis and resolution.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
 Plan, create, maintain and execute detailed test plans and scripts for verification of embedded
systems and resulting data.
 Design and implement tests (manual and automated) to stress and qualify microprocessor based
firmware and peripherals for a variety of embedded systems.
 Execution of manual and automated test scenarios, analyzing test data and reporting test results.
 Working closely with hardware and software development teams to ensure successful system
operation and compatibility.
 Based on product specifications, design and build test systems/environments to support new and
existing hardware designs.
 Support multiple projects in flight, provide status updates to development leads, and bring to
light progress blocking issues in a timely fashion.
 Document product defects clearly and concisely and provide support driving them to closure.
 Work across functional focus areas that span from querying and manipulating database values to
provisioning hardware devices.
Qualifications:
 Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
 Minimum five years of experience in system level testing focused on embedded devices with a
mixed discipline background in software, hardware and firmware.
 Experience with embedded device operating systems such as Embedded Linux.
 Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as C/C++ and LabView as applied to
testing of embedded devices and automated test fixtures.
 Familiarity with hardware/software interaction facets of embedded systems. Ability to interpret
systems diagrams and schematics is required.
 Demonstrated skill in the use of embedded devices test tools equipment including oscilloscopes,
multi-meters, logic analyzers, power analyzers, AC/DC voltage/current sources, and embedded
platform debugging tools.
 Demonstrated ability to act effectively as a member of an engineering team in a fast paced,
dynamic environment. Able to multi-task and adapt quickly.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to very quickly understand and relate
project status and issues via clear verbal and written means.
 Solid understanding of Agile product development methodologies and life-cycle processes.
 Experience with RS485 networks, Modbus and BACnet protocols, and wireless networks.
 Familiarity with building automation, electrical metering, and HVAC control a plus.
